Our philosophy with training and teaching is that all delegates and students should finish our courses with a sense of achievement and a confidence in their abilities for the future. We provide before- and post-course contact and support to ensure we know delegates and are able their specific needs, especially taking account of different approaches and requirements to learning and development.
In terms of how we deliver, we believe:
We should always deliver a full Skills for Justice Award Programme – No reduction in taught hours or contact time;
Experience counts – Our staff have the sector experience of incident command in the relevant roles;
Knowledge, experience and qualifications count – Our staff are qualified University Lecturers with at least 30 years in the fire and rescue service;
Our courses are always delivered by a full team – not by a single trainer and a memory stick;
A delivery programme should be bespoke to each service’s needs – not a generic “one size fits all” programme; and,
Delegates should have full tutor support throughout the duration of the programme and beyond.
Working with you, we will deliver competent commanders, safer firefighters and safer communities!
“As the All Wales Fire & Rescue lead for incident command, I have been fortunate to have drawn upon the experience and expertise of Tony and Mark from Artemis TDL and observed their team deliver ICL2, ICL3 and ICL4 courses to personnel operating at different levels within our respective Fire & Rescue Services.
Their individual delivery styles are fully supportive and reflective of modern day Fire & Rescue Service operating environments and their course content is current, thought provoking and in line with National Operational Guidance and the National Fire Chiefs Council.
Attendance on the aforementioned courses has enhanced individuals skills, knowledge and understanding in relation to incident command which has resulted in Service personnel having greater confidence when operating in command roles at operational incidents.
I would recommend Artemis TDL to any Fire & Rescue Services who require a flexible, comprehensive and uniformed approach to incident command!”
